The Unmothered Circle

What if the ache you've carried your whole life didn't have to be hers too?

Individual work can take you far. But there is something that happens in a room of women who carry the same wound, a kind of recognition that no one-to-one relationship can replicate. You do not have to explain yourself here. They already know.

Join the Circle

You May Recognize Yourself Here

She Was There. But She Was Never Really There.

You grew up feeling invisible in your own home. Not because you were unloved necessarily, but because you were never truly seen.

You learned early to manage your emotions alone. To not need too much. To be the one who holds it together so others don't have to.

You have a persistent sense of not being enough in your relationships, your parenting, your work, even when the evidence says otherwise.

You find intimacy difficult. Being truly known by someone feels dangerous even when you desperately want it.

You've done work on yourself. You've read the books, maybe even taken the quiz, and you understand the wound intellectually. But something in you hasn't yet shifted at the level you know it needs to.

You're tired of carrying this quietly. You're ready to be in a room where you don't have to explain yourself from the beginning.

If you read that and felt something shift in your chest, you're in the right place.

What the Circle Is

Not a Support Group. Not a Lecture. A Guided Container for Real Change.

The Unmothered Circle is a guided coaching circle led by Amelia Mora Mars. It meets weekly for ten weeks, live and online, wherever you are.

The group is intentionally small, just 8 women, so every person in the room has space to be known, not just heard. This isn't a place to sit quietly in the back. It's a place to do the work alongside women who understand it from the inside.

The group process itself is part of the growth. What you couldn't receive from your mother (being witnessed, held, told you are enough) begins to be repaired in relationship with other women doing the same work beside you.

This Program Includes

Everything You Need to Show Up Prepared

A woman journaling

10 Live Coaching Sessions

90 minutes weekly, live and online. This is where the group work actually happens: real time, real people, real support.

10 Weekly Course Modules

A short module released before each session so you arrive prepared, already thinking about that week's theme instead of starting cold.

Reflection Workbook

Guided heart-work exercises and daily journal prompts for each week, space to process what's coming up between sessions, not just during them.

Community Access

Ongoing connection with the other women in your cohort, so support doesn't end when the call does.

What We Work On Together

  • Understanding how your mother's emotional unavailability shaped the way you see yourself and move through the world
  • Tracing the pattern back through three generations to understand where it actually began
  • Grieving what you didn't receive, without being consumed by it
  • Learning to stay present in hard emotional moments instead of shutting down or flooding
  • Rebuilding trust in your own instincts, emotions, and sense of self
  • Being witnessed by women who understand, and letting that witnessing begin to repair what was broken

Growth like this doesn't happen all at once. It happens one week at a time.

What Changes

The Shift Women Describe by Week Ten

From Isolated to Witnessed

You stop carrying this quietly. You have a room of women who already understand, without needing the backstory.

From Knowing to Feeling It Shift

You've read the books and understood the pattern intellectually. This is where it finally moves, from something you know to something that's actually changed.

From Reacting to Staying Present

Hard emotional moments, with your kids, your partner, yourself, stop automatically triggering the old shutdown-or-flood response.

Who This Is For, and Who It's Not

This Group Works Because Everyone in It Is Ready

The Unmothered Circle is a carefully held space. Its power comes from the fact that every woman who enters it is stable enough to show up for others, not just herself. This isn't a crisis group. It's a coaching circle.

This Is for You If

  • You're emotionally stable and functional in your daily life, even when things are hard
  • You have some awareness of the mother wound and its impact on your life
  • You're ready to hold space for others, not just receive it yourself
  • You can commit to showing up consistently for ten weeks
  • You're open to being seen and challenged, not just validated

This Isn't the Right Fit If

  • You're currently in active crisis or acute emotional distress
  • You need more individualized support before group coaching feels right
  • You're not yet able to be present for others in the room
  • Your schedule doesn't allow for consistent weekly attendance
  • You're looking for a place to vent rather than a place to grow

Your Guide

Amelia Mora Mars

Amelia is a licensed therapist and Mom Coach who works with women on generational healing and the mother wound.

She's also a daughter who was raised by an emotionally unavailable mother. She knows this wound from the inside. She spent years carrying it quietly, learning to stay small, protecting everyone around her while believing something in her must be broken.

She's also a mother of ten and a woman who did the work. She brings both her training and her lived experience into every circle she guides, which means nothing you bring into that room will surprise her or overwhelm her. She's been there.

Questions

Before You Join

Is this therapy?

No. This is a coaching circle, not a clinical or crisis service. Amelia is a licensed therapist, but this program is coaching: forward-facing, practical, and built for women who aren't in crisis.

What if I can't pay the full amount right now?

That's exactly why we offer 3 and 6 payment options, so cost doesn't have to be the reason you wait.

How big is the group?

Just 8 women, kept small so everyone actually gets known.

What if I have to miss a live session?

Life happens. Live sessions aren't recorded, to protect the group's privacy, but your weekly module and workbook prompts stay yours to work through either way.

Groups make me nervous. Is that normal?

Completely. Most women feel that way walking in, and most say it's gone by week two. You're never the only one feeling it.

I don't want to share personal details in front of others.

You're never required to share more than feels right. Plenty of the work happens just by listening and being present.

The day or time doesn't work for me right now.

Reach out anyway. There will be future cohorts, and it's worth getting on the list for the next one that fits your schedule.

“Healing was never about forgetting where you came from. It's about deciding where it stops.”
